CROSSVILLE POLICE CALLED TO FUNERAL HOME FOR WOMAN CRASHING INTO MULTIPLE VEHICLES
Crossville city officers were dispatched to Bilbrey’s Funeral Home on Monday for reports of a female striking multiple vehicles with a car.
When officers arrived, they identified the female driver to be 40-year-old Tracy Coker. The officers observed multiple empty alcohol bottles in the vehicle. According to the report, Ms. Coker admitted to consuming the alcohol but stated she was not driving a vehicle.
A witness claims she picked Ms. Coker up from the hospital and took her to get alcohol at a gas station and then to the parking lot. She told officers that Ms. Coker demanded the car keys. She then witnessed her pulling forward where she hit a parked truck.
Another witness stated he saw Ms. Coker in the driver’s seat of the vehicle and watched her hit a parked vehicle.
Due to both witness’s statements and Ms. Coker’s intoxication level, having easy access to a vehicle and the likelihood of her driving the vehicle again, her being a danger to herself and others, she was placed into custody and transported to the Cumberland County Justice Center for booking where she was charged with Public Intoxication.
