Crossville Police have charged a man for sexual offender violations. 71-year-old Louis Edgar Smith was discharged from Wyndridge Nursing Home approximately one month before having contact with officers. Within that time span, he failed to report his residence change within the required 48 hour time limit. Smith was taken in to custody and charged with violating the Sexual Offender Registry.
