CROSSVILLE POLICE CRUISER HIT BY VEHICLE RUNNING A RED LIGHT

According to the Crossville Chronicle, early Wednesday morning, a Crossville Police cruiser driven by Officer Amy Sherrill, was struck broadside by a 2010 Toyota Corolla at the intersection of S. Main Street and Lantana Road near Scarlett’s in Crossville.
The crash, reported around 4:45 a.m., occurred when Kenneth Gudiel Miranda Jiguan, 37, allegedly ran a red light on Lantana Road, colliding with Sherrill’s 2020 Dodge Durango patrol car as she traveled north on routine patrol. The impact caused the cruiser to roll over before coming to rest in the roadway. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts, and no injuries were reported.
According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol’s preliminary report, charges may be pending against Jiguan.
