The Crossville Police Department will offer a Lady’s Only Fun Familiarization Class.

Officials say firearm safety and familiarity are important for any person, but many women have never fired, cleaned, or loaded a gun.

The class will not include shooting or issuing permits. Attendees will learn how to clean, store, holster, load, and unload weapons. The class will allow women to decide whether they want to attend an R&R Gun School permit class and own a gun in the future.

Officials say the class has filled up.

Women interested in attending can call the Crossville Police Department at (931) 484-7231 to reserve a spot on the waiting list.

The class will be held starting at 9 a.m.  Saturday, March 2, 2024, lasting about two hours.
