CROSSVILLE POLICE INVESTIGATE AFTERNOON THEFT ON DAYTON AVENUE; SUSPECT VEHICLE SPOTTED ON CAMERA
The Crossville Police Department is investigating a daytime theft that occurred Tuesday afternoon at a residence on Dayton Avenue, authorities reported.
On June 23, officers were dispatched to a home on Dayton Avenue after the homeowner reported valuable property missing from his back porch. According to police reports, the stolen items include an orange and black Bauer electric drill and a Troy-Bilt pressure washer.
The owner informed responding officers that he last saw the tools at approximately 2:00 PM that afternoon. While no security cameras were active at the victim’s residence, the owner did discover unfamiliar tire tracks in his secondary driveway. Ptl. Corey Freeman photographed the tracks and submitted them into evidence.
The investigation gained momentum a short time later when Master Patrol Officer Foster canvassed the neighborhood. Residents at a nearby home on Dayton Avenue provided police with security footage captured around 2:36 PM—just 36 minutes after the items were last seen.
The video footage reveals a potential vehicle of interest, a white 2010s-model Ford F-150 with an extended cab and a silver toolbox mounted in the truck bed. At this time, no license plate information is available, and police have not officially named any suspects.
The Crossville Police Department has requested the neighbor’s surveillance footage through the Axon Community platform as they continue to investigate. Anyone with information regarding the white Ford F-150 or the stolen tools is encouraged to contact local authorities.
