Local police are investigating a vandalism incident reported on September 19, 2026, after a resident’s car tire was deliberately slashed in broad daylight.

According to a Crossville Police Department incident report filed by Sgt. J. Henson, officers responded to Rose Street regarding property damage. The victim reported that an unknown suspect targeted her vehicle between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM that afternoon.

Responding officers observed a large slash and puncture mark on the outer sidewall of the vehicle’s front passenger-side tire. The victim valued the damaged tire at $112.00. While the victim told police she has a few suspicions regarding who might be responsible, investigators noted she currently lacks concrete proof.
