On 5/7/2025, Det. Sgt. Tim Vandever investigated a potential scam reported by Blue Bird Motors in Crossville, Tennessee. A customer alerted the business about a fraudulent Facebook page, “Cheap Affordable Trucks and Cars for Sale,” falsely using Blue Bird Motors’ name and address.

The scam involved requesting down payments and delivery fees with promises of later payment details. An employee contacted the scammer, who had a strong Arabic accent and claimed to be named Jeffery, confirming the misuse of the business’s address. The scammer hung up when confronted and avoided further contact.

Blue Bird Motors is not associated with the fraudulent page, and it’s unclear if the scam succeeded.
