CROSSVILLE POLICE RESPOND TO TWO WALMART THEFTS

On May 2, 2026, officers from the Crossville Police Department responded to two separate shoplifting incidents at the Walmart located on Obed Plaza.

In the first instance, Officer Jeremy Beard investigated a report of “skip scanning” involving Elizabeth Lallo. Although Ms. Lallo abandoned her merchandise and fled before police arrived, store employees provided security footage to confirm her identity. It was discovered that she had been banned from the premises since February 2023. Consequently, warrants were issued for criminal trespassing and the theft of $35.20 worth of items, though she remains at large.

Later that same afternoon, Officer Steven Mcneal responded to a second theft involving Cody Stafford. An asset protection associate identified Mr. Stafford, who was wearing a stolen jacket and had concealed a hat in his waistband. Officers intercepted him at the General Merchandise exit as he attempted to leave with $28.98 in unpaid goods. Mr. Stafford was taken into custody and transported to the Cumberland County Justice Center, where he was charged with theft of merchandise.
