CROSSVILLE POLICE STOP SHOPLIFTER ARMED WITH HUNTING KNIFE
Crossville Police had their hands full last week with an armed shoplifter. A male subject, later identified as 33-year-old Jacob Ian Reagan, was observed taking items from the sporting goods section of Walmart. Store security attempted to stop Reagan outside, but he was able to push past them and fled toward the East Tennessee Dodge Dealership. A foot pursuit followed with police, who were able to take Reagan down to the pavement. During a scuffle, the suspect pulled a hunting knife from a scabbard at his waist, but officers were able to retrieve it and two other knives. Reagan was charged with theft, resisting and evading arrest, and aggravated assault. He was also served two warrants out of Putnam County.
