CROSSVILLE POLICE: SUSPECT ARRESTED AFTER “DOING SOME RAGING” ON WEST AVENUE

Crossville police responded Friday to a business on the 1300th block of West Avenue for a disturbance.
Officers learned a male identified as 43-year-old Stacey Dwight Austin of Crossville was punching the sides of trailers, saying he had guns, and was later lying on the ground.
Police arrived and asked Austin what he was doing. He reportedly said “doing some raging.”
While walking towards a patrol car, Austin allegedly went to reach his hand into his pocket. The officer grabbed his arm because of safety issues. Austin was taken to the ground, where police placed handcuffs on him without further incident.
The report noted Austin is a known violent offender.
He was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
