CROSSVILLE STUDENT TOUR PROGRAM STARTS NEXT WEEK
Downtown Crossville Incorporated is bringing back its Crossville tour program for 2024.
The program aims to take 4th graders on a tour of the city and teach them about the city’s history.
The program starts next week on Tuesday with 60 students from Crab Orchard Elementary, then 62 from Pleasant Hill Elementary on Thursday, North Cumberland on the 10th, Brown and Christian Schools on the 12th, Pine View on the 17th, Homestead on the 19th, South Cumberland on the 24th, Stone on the 26th, Martin on October 1st, and a rain date scheduled for October 3rd.
A statement from Crossville City Council member Rob Harrison said: “Plateau Properties is in the oldest wooden building on Main Street and it’s always fun to show these bright-eyed youngsters around, especially the vault where we keep important papers. They love that! And, come to think of it, they are a big part of why I have served and want to continue to serve on the City Council. Retirees are a welcome addition here, but I want these kids to have good opportunities so they can eventually live here!”
