CROSSVILLE TEEN FACES CHARGES OF UNDERAGE DRINKING AND AGGRAVATED ASSAULT IN COURT TODAY

Today, in Cumberland County General Sessions Court, 19-year-old Kayden Bryant Richardson of Crossville, Tennessee, represented by the Public Defender, is scheduled to appear on two related criminal charges stemming from an incident on March 6, 2026. He faces one count of Aggravated Assault and one count of Underage Consumption / Drinking Under the Legal Age, both filed on March 11, 2026.

According to the affidavit of complaint filed by Cpl. Ethan Wilson, officers responded to a report of a male with a firearm at Soldiers Beach on City Lake Road. After the victim returned to the scene and provided a description, several individuals emerged from a nearby walking trail, and the victim identified Richardson as the person who had the firearm.

During contact, officers located a firearm in Richardson’s truck. While speaking with him, the officer detected a strong odor of an intoxicating substance. Richardson, who was 19 at the time and therefore underage for alcohol consumption, was taken into custody and transported to the Cumberland County Justice Center.
