CROSSVILLE TO HAVE LIMITED RE-OPENING OF CITY PARK FACILITIES

The City of Crossville will have limited re-opening of city park facilities beginning tomorrow morning (Saturday, April 25, 2020). In addition to the trails at Centennial Park, the dog park is of sufficient size that proper social distancing can be maintained. It will be open during daylight hours. However, proper social distancing of dog owners of six feet needs to be maintained or the facility will be closed again.

The pickle ball courts will also re-open since participants can routinely maintain the six foot separation needed to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Again, if the social distancing guidelines are not followed, the courts will be closed.

Other park facilities in Crossville will remain closed for now.

Meadow Park Lake will re-open for fishing, boating and hiking during daylight hours 7 days a week. Again, proper social distancing is a necessity or the area will be closed again. No other Meadow Park Lake facilities will reopen.

As the state monitors the COVID-19 situation, the City of Crossville will reopen facilities when it is safe to do so. The first facilities that open will be those where six foot of separation can be maintained. The governor has promised to provide more guidance the week of April 27, 2020. As new guidelines are released, the City of Crossville will consider open up other facilities as soon as it is safe to do so.
