CROSSVILLE TO PURCHASE 2 NEW POLICE K-9 OFFICERS
The City of Crossville will be purchasing not only one but two new K-9 Officers in the near future. The request for a new police dog was entered by Chief David Beatty at a work session in order to replace a retiring K-9 officer. However, with the passing of K-9 Officer Cain, the City Council voted recently to add a second dog to the request in order to replace the fallen officer. The dogs will be provided at a cost of $14,000 each. Insurance costs will reimburse the city for the replacement for Cain.
