CROSSVILLE WOMAN ARRESTED AFTER DRIVING 71 MPH IN 45 MPH ZONE FOR PIZZA
On May 14, 2026, at approximately 8:19 PM, deputies from the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office observed a white Jeep traveling at a high rate of speed on North Main Street in Crossville. Radar confirmed the vehicle was going 71 mph in a 45 mph zone while passing other vehicles. Deputies activated emergency lights, pursued the Jeep, and conducted a traffic stop in the Rent-A-Center parking lot.
The driver, Nicolette Paige Thomas, 35, of Crossville, was identified and questioned. When asked why she was speeding, she stated she was going to get pizza. She was detained, placed under arrest for reckless driving, and transported to the Cumberland County Justice Center for booking.
Thomas was charged with reckless driving. Her bond was set at $1,500, with a court date of June 22, 2026.
