CROSSVILLE WOMAN ARRESTED FOR DUI WITH SUSPENDED LICENSE
According to a report by the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, on December 10, 2025, at approximately 10:09 PM, Deputy Aidyn Smith of the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Highway 70 West near Frost Road in Crossville, Tennessee, after observing a red 2012 Nissan Frontier cross the center line and fog line multiple times.
The driver, 41-year-old Sherry Elizabeth Parsons of Crossville, exhibited slurred speech, unsteady footing, and admitted to smoking marijuana three to four days prior and using suboxone the previous day.
During Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, Parsons showed multiple signs of impairment, including lack of smooth pursuit and nystagmus in her eyes, inability to maintain balance, missing heel-to-toe steps, stepping off the line, and using arms for balance. She was arrested on-view at 10:28 PM for Driving Under the Influence and Driving While License Suspended. Dispatch confirmed her license was suspended.
Two vials of whole blood were collected as evidence, and at Parsons’ request, a licensed driver removed the vehicle from the scene. She was charged with both offenses, with a court date set for January 12, 2026, and bonds of $2,000 and $1,500 respectively.
