CROSSVILLE WOMAN ARRESTED WITH HEROIN; POSSESSION AND CONTRABAND CHARGES

On October 4, 2025, at approximately 9:05 PM, Deputy Caleb Cathey and CPL Ethan Wilson conducted a traffic stop on a white Lexus RX3 at the intersection of Laton Brown Rd and Chestnut Hill Rd in Crossville due to the vehicle lacking a muffler and having excessively tinted windows.
The passenger, Robin Michelle Godsey, a 46-year-old white female resident of Crossville, was identified. Deputies observed drug paraphernalia on the floorboard beneath Godsey, leading to a vehicle search that uncovered additional paraphernalia. Godsey admitted to possessing “two points” of heroin, retrieving a rolled-up piece of tinfoil containing a blue powdery substance, confirmed by her to be heroin. She was arrested for simple possession and transported to Cumberland County Intake.
Despite being warned that bringing illegal substances into the jail would result in felony charges, Godsey failed to disclose another tinfoil ball containing the same substance, resulting in an additional charge of introducing contraband into a penal facility.
The seized heroin, approximately 2 grams, was documented as evidence. Godsey faces charges of simple possession and contraband introduction, with court dates set for October 27, 2025, and bond amounts of $2,500 and $10,000, respectively.
