CROSSVILLE WOMAN INJURED AFTER GUARDRAIL IMPALES VEHICLE ON I-40
A Crossville woman sustained serious injuries yesterday in a vehicle accident on I-40 after a guardrail impaled her car. Troopers say a 2009 Nissan Altima driven by 48-year-old Shanna Lowery of Crossville was traveling east at the 308 mile marker when she lost control and hit the guardrail. The actual rail went through the front interior of the car injuring and trapping Lowery. She was extricated from the wreckage. Lifeforce landed at the scene to take her to Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga for treatment.
