On April 21, 2025, Deputy Tashua Stone spoke with a woman at the Cumberland County Justice Center who reported being scammed while applying for a passport online through the GOV plus website.

She initially paid $297 but was repeatedly asked for additional payments via codes. Her bank filed a claim, but required a police report.

She attempted to contact the company at 1-844-875-6446 without success. Deputy Stone advised her to report any further unauthorized withdrawals to add to the report.
