A Crossville man is in jail after he punched his wife in the face over “house chores”.

Crossville police were called to Myrtle Avenue for a domestic assault call.

When they arrived Mrs. Flor Domingo told police her husband, Cristian Escalonte, had left the house and returned after drinking.

Mrs. Domingo said her husband began yelling at her over ‘house chores’ and then punched her in the face. The man then ran into the bedroom and hid behind a door. Police were able to apprehend Escalonte and take him to jail and charged with domestic assault.
