CROSSVILLE WOMAN VICTIM OF RANDOM ASSAULT

On Sunday, Officer Jacob Zimmerman with the Crossville Police Department spoke to a woman about a possible assault. She informed the officer that on Saturday while walking from her residence on Pinewood Drive to her mother’s home on Obed, a tan-colored van stopped in the road at 70 North.

Someone had gotten out of the van, pushed her to the ground, yelled a single expletive at her, and drove off at a high rate of speed.

Officer Zimmerman asked the woman if she knew who it was, but she didn’t. However, she has seen the vehicle parked in the area of Pinewood Drive.

There are no suspects at this time.
