CROSSVILLE WRECK SATURDAY LEAVES THREE INJURED
On Saturday around 12:52 PM, 65-year-old Jerry Marcum was stopped in his Toyota Avalon at the red light on West Ave waiting to turn left onto Sparta Hwy. When his light turned green, he started to negotiate a left turn and was struck on the right side by a Honda Civic traveling straight from Elmore Road to Sparta Hwy, running a red light. The Honda Civic was driven by 23-year-old Alexandra Bilyeu and occupied by two passengers, Kerwin Williams, 44 years old, and Justin Roberts 23 years old. None of the passengers of the Civic were reportedly wearing their seatbelts.
Ms. Bilyeu and Mr. Williams were both reported to have injuries. It was not noted in the report how serious these were. It was stated that charges are pending the outcome of the investigation.
Jerry Marcum was reported to of been wearing his seatbelt. He was reported to of had injuries and we are not sure how serious his injuries his are either. There are no charges pending for Mr. Marcum.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating.
