The Cumberland County Building and Grounds Committee received an update on the county archives structure at their meeting late yesterday. Plans have been drawn up by Upland Design Group for a new addition to the building. The committee will invite the full county commission to tour the achieve building September 9 to see the planned changes recommended. An update for the heating and air condition system at the library was not favorable. The 25 ton unit is out of warranty with the coils and both compressors non-operational. Bids are being accepted for a new unit but it will be fall at the earliest before it can be replaced. Currently, the library is using fans to try to keep the inside cooled off.
