Cumberland County Director of Schools, Ina Maxwell, has announced she plans on retiring in June of this year. The following is an email she sent to the Board of Education and school personnel:

Dear CCBOE Family, I wanted to reach out to each of you this afternoon to let you know that I have decided to retire on June 30, 2022. It has been a tremendous privilege to have served as your Director of Schools for the past two years. The kindness and respect that you have extended to me has been so appreciated. I look forward to all the great things that we will continue to do for our students! With much gratitude, Dr. Maxwell
