CUMBERLAND COUNTY CELEBRATES GRAND OPENING OF ART CIRCLE PUBLIC LIBRARY BOOKMOBILE
Cumberland County Mayor Allen Foster expressed his enthusiasm after attending the grand opening of the Art Circle Public Library Bookmobile yesterday. The Art Circle Public Library Bookmobile serves Cumberland County from the main library in Crossville. It officially launched with a grand opening on April 7.
This mobile service was developed to bring books, resources, and library access directly to kids and adults in more remote or underserved parts of the county who might not easily reach the brick-and-mortar Art Circle Public Library at 3 East Street. The project was funded in large part by the Friends of the Art Circle Public Library through 2025 efforts, including a silent auction and community book sales aimed at supporting county-wide bookmobile service.
He described the new bookmobile as a valuable addition to the community, noting that it will deliver books and resources directly to children and adults who may not otherwise have easy access to the library.
Mayor Foster extended his gratitude to all those involved in making the project possible, including donors, library staff, and supporters. He concluded by sharing his excitement about the positive impact the bookmobile is expected to have throughout Cumberland County.
