CUMBERLAND COUNTY CODES PERMIT FEES DROP IN JULY AS FISCAL YEAR CLOSES OUT
According to Cumberland County Mayor Allen Foster, the county saw a dip in permit revenue and emergency services income this July compared to previous benchmarks, according to the latest departmental financial update.
The Cumberland County Codes Department collected $47,142 in fees for July 2026, marking a decrease from the $56,365 generated during July 2025.
Activity for the month included:
- 35 residential building permits
- 0 commercial building permits
- 34 general mechanical permits
- 45 general plumbing permits
Simultaneously, Emergency Medical Services (EMS) collections fell short of projections. The service brought in $379,875 for the month, underperforming against its estimated monthly target of $433,333.
County officials noted that no additional financial reports were made available this month due to ongoing procedures to close out the fiscal year.
