CUMBERLAND COUNTY DEPUTY RESPONDS TO ACCIDENT NEAR CLARKRANGE

On Thursday last week, Deputy Jacob Moore was dispatched to a wreck in the area of Bear Creek Road near Clarkrange. Dispatch advised Moore that there were injuries as a result of the wreck.
Moore arrived on the scene and observed two vehicles, a Toyota Tacoma driven by David Dick (69) of Knoxville and a Ford Edge driven by Melissa Thomas (59) of Monterey, to have collided in the Eastbound lane.
Both drivers were already out of their vehicles and being tended to by EMS.
Thomas had an injury to her hand, however Deputy Moore was unsure of the extent of the injury.
Dick was already in the ambulance with a suspected serious injury and spoke with Deputy Moore long enough for him to gather basic personal and vehicle information.
Both drivers were transported by Cumberland County EMS, and both vehicles were towed from the scene. Dick’s Tacoma was towed by I-40 BP Towing, and Moore requested the next scheduled Wrecker. The Ford Edge was towed by Pritchett’s Towing, as requested by Thomas.
