CUMBERLAND COUNTY DIRECTOR OF SCHOOLS PRESS RELEASE ON TUESDAY MORNING ABSENCES
Due to the unexpected amount of rainfall that struck the Crossville and Cumberland County area Tuesday morning, travel became particularly tricky. 1057 News received reports of several roads which became impassible throughout the county, making it difficult to get students to school. Director of Schools Janet Graham has released the following statement concerning the situation:
“We are aware that several of our students were unable to get to school on November 7, 2017, due to flooding in some places in our county. Those absences will be excused. It would be helpful if parents would send a brief note, to the school, explaining the reason for the absence.”
