CUMBERLAND COUNTY FAMILY ESCAPES INJURY IN HOUSE FIRE
A Cumberland County family escaped injury after their house caught fire late Saturday night. A smoke alarm alerted the occupants at the residence on the 2200 block of Wichita Drive in Lake Tansi and they evacuated. Cumberland County Fire Department officials say the blaze resulted in $80,000 in damage and a cause is being determined.
105.7 News was contacted by a friend of the family (Tiffiny Clark). She said the family includes Shawn Alcorn, his wife Heather, their children (Blake and Zadix) and one on the way. They lost nearly everything in the fire. As far as clothing, this is what is being requested to help the Alcorn family:
Blake (age 2) & Zadix (age 5): clothes from 2T to 6T, Shoes 8/9 toddler, 11.5 Boys
Baby due in December. Sex unknown til June.
Shawn : XL shirt, size 36 bottoms
Heather : Med shirt, usually a size 1 bottoms but growing with baby. 7.5 shoe
