Residents across Cumberland County may notice an uptick in fire trucks on local roads today as Cumberland County Fire/Rescue kicks off its official Pump Test 2026.

The rigorous testing process evaluates all department pump systems to verify they meet strict performance standards. Officials note that these routine evaluations are a vital step in guaranteeing dependable, top-tier fire protection for the entire community.

Citizens are advised that the increased movement of emergency vehicles is part of this planned safety initiative and not indicative of an active emergency.
