It has been an active day for emergency services across Cumberland County. Around 8:20 this morning a concrete truck was reported overturned in the ditch on Peavine Road about 8 miles from Crossville. Just before 1 p.m. a woman was reported injured on Patrick Drive when she was hit by a vehicle. Just before 2 p.m. an accident was reported on Sparta Highway about three miles west of Crossville and then at 2:45 a two vehicle personal injury accident was reported eight miles west on Sparta Highway.

Wood and brush fires have continued to be a problem with the dry weather continuing. Fires have been reported on empty nest lane, Vandever Road and hinch Mountain View Road. Until we get significant rainfall and with Breezy conditions coming, fires will continue to be a threat.

A bright note to report. Weather conditions were excellent for the lighting of the Crossville Christmas tree at the Depot Friday evening, the annual Christmas parade is next Saturday at 4:30
