CUMBERLAND COUNTY JUVENILE FLOWN TO TRAUMA CENTER AFTER MOTORCYCLE CRASH

Deputies say a motorcycle crash in Cumberland County this week resulted in a juvenile sustaining serious injuries.

Medics and law enforcement responded Monday to the scene on Flat Rock Road.

The accident report released today states a motorcycle operated by a 15-year-old male entered into a curve traveling too fast. The motorcycle turned on its side and slid into the driver’s side front end of an oncoming 2022 Ford F-150 operated by 69-year-old Rita Louise Kitchens of Crossville.

The minor was flown to U.T. Medical Center for treatment.

Kitchens was not hurt in the accident.
