CUMBERLAND COUNTY LAUNCHES FIRST RESPONSE PROGRAM WITH FAIRFIELD GLADE FIRE DEPARTMENT
Cumberland County Mayor Allen Foster announced that he has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Fairfield Glade Fire Department to launch a first response Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) program.
This initiative enables trained firefighters to deliver immediate emergency medical care to residents in need while Cumberland County EMS is on the way, emphasizing the critical importance of those initial minutes in improving outcomes during medical emergencies. The agreement builds on similar partnerships the county has already established with the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department and the Fairfield Glade Police Department, all aimed at enhancing the overall emergency response system through inter-agency collaboration.
Mayor Foster expressed appreciation for the Fairfield Glade Fire Department’s leadership and dedication, noting that such cooperative efforts across agencies make Cumberland County a safer place for all residents.
