CUMBERLAND COUNTY LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES COMPLETE CHILD ABDUCTION RESPONSE TEAM TRAINING

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, TN – Investigators and Detectives from the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, Crossville Police Department, and Fairfield Glade Police Department recently participated in a specialized training session focused on child abduction response. Hosted by the Algood Police Department, this intensive training was led by Special Agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation and aimed at enhancing local law enforcement capabilities in critical child abduction scenarios.
The training covered essential topics, including the phases and strategies of investigative response, cellular analysis, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation Amber Alert criteria, social media exploitation, false allegations, and case studies related to child abduction. By equipping officers with the latest tools and techniques, the training aims to improve response times and overall effectiveness in safeguarding children.
The training session featured participation from key personnel, including Lt. Gary Howard and Investigator Jon Human from the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, Detective Fatima Pena from the Fairfield Glade Police Department, and Detective Jon Tollett and Detective Sergeant Tim Vandever from the Crossville Police Department.
As law enforcement agencies continue to work together to strengthen their response capabilities, the safety and protection of children remain a top priority.
