Cumberland County Mayor Allen Foster addressed two local events in the county over the past few weeks, including the Horizon Initiative’s “Raising Hope in the Community” event at the Palace Theatre. The keynote speaker for that event was the director of regional stewardship at Eastern Kentucky University; Melissa Newman spoke about increasing community hope to positively affect communities.

Foster also spoke to the Friends of the Art Circle Public Library, where he discussed the functions of local government and issues he’s currently addressing for the community.
