CUMBERLAND COUNTY SALES TAXES ABOVE PROJECTIONS

Sales tax collections in Cumberland County are above budget projections currently. That according to County Finance Director Nathan Brock in his monthly report to commissioners last week. Collections through May were $815,144, $15,661 over projected budget earnings for the month and over $224,659 for the fiscal year. Property tax collections are at 100.9 percent compared to 101 percent at the same time last year. Hotel/Motel tax collections are down at $653,600 so far this year compared to $673,100 in 2018. Revenue from the boarding of state prisoners is at 99.2 percent for the year and ambulance collections for the month were $329,455.
