CUMBERLAND COUNTY SCHOOLS TO REMAIN CLOSED UNTIL APRIL 24, 2020
105.7 News just received word from the Cumberland County School System regarding the extension of the school closing because of the coronavirus:
“This is Director of Schools Janet Graham. I would suppose that many of you heard the Governor’s address yesterday. In light of the recommendation of our Governor I am announcing that Cumberland County Schools will remain closed through April 24, 2020. We know this is a long period of time and that many of our students are eager to return to their normal routines. In light of our concern for the health and well-being of our community we feel it is in our best interest to remain closed. We will soon be announcing information regarding our “interim” academic plan to keep our students academically engaged. Note the suggested resources we have had on line are just that. We are certainly at this point not requiring any participation but wish to accommodate those students and parents who desire to have activities for use.”
