Since 1998, the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department has partnered with neighborhood watch programs. It started with 13 groups but fell to only one in Fairfield Glade in 2003. Now there are 70 small groups just in the Fairfield Glade area alone and 68 throughout the county. While the pandemic is ongoing, the meetings are going to virtual and on social media to help raise awareness of crimes committed in the communities.
