CUMBERLAND COUNTY WOMAN ARRESTED IN FENTRESS ON DRUG CHARGES

From Fentress County Sheriff’s Office:

Jamestown, Tenn. — The Fentress County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit continues to make strides in keeping illegal drugs off the streets. On the morning of Friday, November 7, 2025, a coordinated effort between Fentress County Drug Agent Kris Lewallen, Detective Justin Atchley, and Fugitive Recovery Agents led to the successful apprehension of Brita Lee West, a wanted fugitive out of Cumberland County, Tennessee, and the discovery of multiple illegal narcotics.
At approximately 10:03 a.m., agents arrived at a residence located on Round Mountain Road in Jamestown while assisting in the search for West, who had an active Failure to Appear (FTA) warrant. Upon arrival, officers observed a female matching West’s description retreat quickly into the residence. After contact was made at the door, and following brief communication with another occupant, West appeared in the living room and was taken into custody without incident.
While securing the scene, agents observed digital scales with crystalline residue and a methamphetamine smoking apparatus in plain view. A subsequent search of the immediate area uncovered:
– Approximately 3.22 grams of methamphetamine (“ice”)
– Approximately 15.28 grams of marijuana
– Multiple marijuana smoking devices
– A small purple container containing
– (2) Suboxone tablets
– (2) Xanax pills
The defendant admitted ownership of all narcotics and paraphernalia located at the scene. She was subsequently transported to the Fentress County Jail for booking on multiple drug-related charges, and a hold was placed for Cumberland County regarding the outstanding warrant.
Chief Deputy Hunter Fowler praised the continued vigilance of the Narcotics Team:
“This arrest highlights the commitment of our narcotics agents and detectives who work tirelessly to keep our communities safe. We will continue to pursue those who bring dangerous substances into Fentress County.”
The Fentress County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit remains dedicated to combating illegal drug activity and working hand-in-hand with local and regional partners to ensure a safer community for all residents.
