CUMBERLAND COUNTY WOMAN ARRESTED; METH FOUND IN PURSE DURING JAIL BOOKING

On November 14, 2025, Cumberland County Deputy Breanna Freeman encountered 60-year-old Dianne Patricia Lawson walking along US Highway 70 East near the Shell station in Crab Orchard, Tennessee.
A records check revealed Lawson had an active warrant for Violation of Probation, and she was taken into custody and transported to the Cumberland County Jail.
During the booking process, correctional officers discovered a clear crystal-like substance, believed to be approximately 0.41 grams of methamphetamine, concealed in a cellophane wrapper inside Lawson’s purse. As a result, in addition to being served the probation violation warrant, Lawson was charged with Introduction of Contraband (Intoxicants/Drugs) into a Penal Facility (Tennessee Code 39-16-201).
She was booked on both charges with a $10,000 bond for the contraband offense and a court date set for November 17, 2025.
The seized substance was logged as evidence, and the case was approved the following day.
