CUMBERLAND COUNTY WOMAN CHARGED WITH PUBLIC INTOXICATION

Early Saturday morning, Cumberland County deputies were dispatched to a home on the 200 block of Elizabeth Street to find 40-year-old Lacey Renee Gibson yelling and throwing things off the front porch. She was sitting in a chair on the porch with no shoes or jacket. As deputies approached, Gibson is reported to have told them, “I know you’re good people but I’m a kill shot.” When asked what she meant by that, she said something about kids’ clothes and then, according to the arrest report, “started moving her arms all around.” Deputies said Gibson was “carrying on conversations with people not around” and when they asked her to stand up, she complied, and then said, “You hear that?” and, deputies said, “began talking to a picture on the ground.” Gibson was arrested and charged with public intoxication. She’s due in court February 25.
