CUMBERLAND DEPUTIES ARREST FOUR IN DRUG BUST

On October 24, 2024, Deputy Morgan Alvarez obtained a search warrant for a residence in the Buddys Trail area as well as any other outbuildings or vehicles on the property owned, accessed, or controlled by James Sullivan.

That same day, Alvarez utilized the Cumberland County SWAT Team to serve/execute the warrant.
During the execution of the warrant, SWAT operators made contact with four suspects sitting in a vehicle in the driveway.

SWAT operators made contact with Sullivan who was sitting in the front passenger seat, and refused to exit the vehicle. He was forcefully removed from the vehicle and detained by SWAT Operator, Deputy Caleb Charles. While Deputy Charles was detaining Sullivan, he
observed Sullivan throw a small, clear, plastic bag under the vehicle.

Suspects in the vehicle were later identified as driver John Flynn, front passenger James Sullivan, driver-side back passenger Shaunna Fenn, and rear passenger Theresa McArthur.

The clear bag thrown under the vehicle was found to contain two more clear, plastic bags inside, with one containing 8.7 grams of fentanyl, and the second 18.6 grams of methamphetamine.

While speaking with Flynn, he said he had a small bag of methamphetamine in his cigarette pack that was sitting at the driver’s door, a payment for driving Sullivan to Nashville that day. Flynn gave consent to search his vehicle, which turned up a clear bag containing 1.38 grams of methamphetamine in a cigarette pack in the driver’s door.

During the search, Alvarez found a backpack in the front passenger floorboard with a digital weighing scale with crystal-like residue and bags that contained 1.8 grams of methamphetamine. Alvarez also found a clear plastic bag containing 1.2 grams of fentanyl in a pocket above the driver-side sun visor.

Along with the illegal narcotics, Sullivan was found to have $103.00 of U.S. currency.

While searching Theresa McArthur’s person, Deputy Alvarez located a small clear bag containing .64 grams of methamphetamine in her bra.

Dispatch informed the deputy that the female identified as Shaunna Fenn had 2 active warrants for Violation of Probation from Cumberland County.

Sullivan and Fenn were later transported to the Cumberland County Jail for booking and Fenn was served with her 2 active warrants.

Flynn and McArthur were cited for simple possession of methamphetamine.
