Cumberland Medical Center officials released a statement regarding a recent medication-related incident.

The statement is as follows:

“At Cumberland Medical Center, nothing is more important than the safety of the patients who have entrusted us with their care. We take this commitment seriously.

Cumberland Medical Center is aware a medication-related event occurred at the hospital the week of November 27, 2023. This event was immediately investigated and corrective actions were taken to prevent any similar incident from occurring.

Although patient privacy laws prevent us from discussing a particular patient’s care, we extend our heartfelt well wishes to the patient and her family.

We will continue to work tirelessly to serve our community and provide safe and effective care to our patients.”
