CUSTOMERS ARRESTED AFTER CROSSVILLE GAS STATION BRAWL
A report by the Crossville Police Department says that on November 2, 2025, Crossville Police responded to a physical altercation at the Woodmere Exxon between a store employee and two intoxicated customers, Jose Lopez Gomez and Napoleon Gonzalez.
The employee refused to sell the men alcohol due to their intoxication, leading them to yell, threaten him, and interfere with his work. Gomez grabbed the employee’s arm, starting a fight in which Gonzalez also assaulted the employee.
The employee’s wife intervened by tackling one assailant and punching the other in defense of her husband. Gomez, who smelled of alcohol, resisted arrest and was taken into custody after a struggle; EMS transported him to the hospital for minor injuries, including major eye swelling caused by the employee pressing a finger into his left eye during the incident.
Gonzalez fled in a truck, struck a pole, and was stopped by Lt. King, who arrested him for DUI. Both men were booked at Cumberland County Jail: Gomez on charges of public intoxication, assault, and resisting arrest; Gonzalez on charges of assault and DUI.
