DAKOTA WHITTINGTON BANNED FROM HILLTOPPERS IN CROSSVILLE AFTER YET ANOTHER THEFT

On June 9, 2026, Crossville Police Department Officers responded to a report of a theft at the Hilltoppers donation building located on East First Street. Upon arrival, officers met with a woman who discovered several items missing when she arrived at work. After reviewing security footage with her IT specialist, the woman observed a suspect driving a U-Haul truck and trailer.

From still photos on her phone, Officers identified the suspect as Mr. Dakota Whittington, an individual previously arrested by another officer. The stolen property—which included a clear jewelry case, a mattress, and Michael Kors and Kate Spade purses—was valued at a total loss of $1,400.00.

While a perimeter check revealed cut chains and locks, the perpetrator failed to gain further access to the building through those points. Although she declined to press criminal charges against Mr. Whittington, she requested that he be formally banned from the property if contact is made.

It is worth noting that Whittington had already been arrested that week for theft from Walmart and Rural King, and was already scheduled for a trial on Thursday last week for a heist done at Advanced Storage in March.
