DAVID VANNASDALE APPOINTED TO HARRIMAN CITY COUNCIL
The Harriman City Council met in regular session last night. One item on the agenda was to appoint someone to fill the unexpired term of Brian Frost, who resigned earlier this year from his council seat. The council unanimously appointed David Vannasdale to the position. He will serve as a council member until the August election next year.
David Vanisdale is the husband of Harriman Utility Board manager Candace Vannasdale. He was sworn in by Mayor Wayne Best last night as other council members looked on.
He replaces Brian Frost, who resigned amid significant controversy following an incident on his property in August. A party at Mr. Clean Car Wash and Tinting, a downtown business owned by Frost, turned tragic when a Lenoir City teenager was shot and killed by another teen.
As mentioned, David Vannasdale will serve until the August election, at which time he will decide whether or not to run for the seat.
