Oak Ridge Police are investigating a deadly crash on North Illinois Avenue near West Outer Drive.

On Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at approximately 1:15 p.m., a vehicle traveling southbound on North Illinois Avenue near West Outer Drive entered oncoming northbound traffic, struck two vehicles, and left the roadway.

The driver of the vehicle, John Hall, 62, of Oliver Springs, was taken to a local hospital but died after arrival. The driver of the second vehicle was taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries that weren’t life-threatening. The driver and occupants of the third vehicle were not injured.

The Oak Ridge Police Department’s crash investigation is ongoing. No other information will be released at this time.
