Dennis “Coonie” Reed, age 83 of Grandview, passed away May 9, 2020. He was born June 9, 1936 in Grandview, the son of Jessie and Lona Mathis Reed. He worked many years as a truck driver and was also a member of Reed’s Chapel Church of God. He is survived by his wife: Rebecca Reed of Grandview; daughters: Linda Roberts (Greg) of Niota, Tennessee and Sharon Reed Suttles (Junior) of Dayton, Tennessee; stepson: Cheater Lee Smith II of Chattanooga; brothers: Earl Reed (Joyce) of Grandview and J.E. Reed (Wanda) of Grandview; sisters: Polly Henderson of Dayton, Tennessee and Wanda S. Reed (Avery) of Grandview; granddaughter: Alexandria Katlyn Smith and her fiancé Joey Ramirez; great-grandchildren: Logan A. Ramirez and Laila B. Ramirez; and nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held Wednesday May 13, 2020 at 3 p.m. eastern at Spring City Memorial Gardens. Obituary by Hood Funeral Home in Crossville.
