DENTON SENTENCED TO LIFE WITHOUT POSSIBILITY OF PAROLE FOR TRIPLE HOMICIDE

A Sullivan County judge sentenced a 22-year-old Tennessee man Thursday in the 2015 deaths of three family members.

Criminal Court Judge Jim Goodwin sentenced Robert Seth Denton to two life sentences plus five years without the possibility of parole. He was convicted in January of three counts of first-degree murder, reckless aggravated assault, aggravated assault causing fear and felony reckless endangerment.

Denton was found guilty of killing his mother, Toshya Millhorn; his stepfather, James Millhorn; and his grandmother, Lena Marie Rose. Six children witnessed the shootings.
