A devastating structure fire completely destroyed a home in the Lake Tansi area of Cumberland County on Thursday afternoon.

Emergency dispatch logs indicate that the call came in at approximately 3:50 PM on July 9, 2026, directing emergency crews to the scene at 8327 Cherokee Trail.

Fortunately, initial reports from civilians at the scene indicate that no injuries were reported and everyone managed to escape safely.

Details regarding the response remain limited. Attempts to reach the Cumberland County Fire Department for comment have been unsuccessful so far. As a result, it is currently unknown how many firefighting units responded, how much water was required to battle the blaze, or how long it took crews to bring the flames under control.

The cause and origin of the fire are also under investigation and remain unknown at this time.
